This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking scripts. It has no accounts. Its only form is Tell us about your child, described below. Our web host, Cloudflare, processes basic request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.

Our calm play page saves its profiles and settings, such as your child's name or nickname, age, play time, sound, and voice, in your own browser on your own device. Nothing from the play page leaves your device, and we never see it. Read-aloud books and talk buttons play voice recordings stored on our own website. Children never create accounts or enter personal information there.

Tell us about your child is an optional form. It asks who is writing (a parent or family member, a teacher, a therapist, or the person who plays), an age band, what the child loves, what upsets them or what they avoid, and a game they would love us to make. A parent, family member, teacher or therapist may also give the child's first name, and may tick a box that lets us name a game or level after the child. We store that answer with the message, and we use a name in a game only when the box was ticked. Someone who plays and is 13 or older may give their own first name. We never collect a name or an email from anyone who says they are under 13: the form hides those questions, and our server drops them if they are sent anyway. Links are not accepted, and any email address or phone number typed into the answers is removed before we store them. Grown-ups, and players 13 or older, can give an email if they want a reply. We use it only to reply, never for updates or marketing. Messages are stored in a database run for us by Cloudflare, our web host, and each one is also emailed to our own Liquid Pond inbox, which Google hosts (Gmail). Messages are deleted from the database automatically 12 months after they arrive, and we delete the emailed copies within the same 12 months. We never sell or share them. To have a message deleted sooner, email us.

Free downloads and purchases

We sell and give away printables through Gumroad. When you get a product, Gumroad collects your email address, and for paid products your payment details. We never see your full card number. Gumroad shares your email and order details with us. We use your email to deliver your product and to send occasional updates about Liquid Pond. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Gumroad handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Our YouTube channel

Our videos live on YouTube at youtube.com/@LiquidPond. When you watch there, YouTube collects data under the Google Privacy Policy. We receive only the summary statistics YouTube gives every channel owner, such as view counts. We never receive personal information about viewers.

Liquid Pond Bot and YouTube API Services

Liquid Pond Bot is an internal tool Liquid Pond uses to upload and schedule videos to its own YouTube channel. The public never signs in to it or uses it. The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube through this tool, the channel owner agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles related data under the Google Privacy Policy.

What the tool accesses: only the Liquid Pond channel account. It reads the channel name and ID, uploads our own videos, and sets their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, visibility, and publish times. It does not access, collect, or store data about any other YouTube user or viewer.

How the tool stores data: it keeps a Google sign-in token and a list of the videos it uploaded on the owner's own computer, in a private folder. It does not send this data anywhere else, and we never sell or share it. The tool places no cookies on anyone's device.

How to revoke access: the channel owner removes the tool's access at any time from the Google security settings page. After revocation, we delete the stored token and video list within 7 days.

Children

This website and our printables are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from our emails with the link in any email.
• Ask us to see, correct, or delete the email and order data we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the effective date at the top of this page.
